A LITTLE ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Penney Project was founded in 2023 in honor of Henrietta Penney the founder of Vista’s sister Alpha which later transformed into what Vista Academy is today. Henrietta provided support and programming to several children in the interior for over 20+ years. Henrietta is an important part of neurodivergent education in Kelowna and strives to pass down her legacy to change the lives of future generations of neurodivergent children.

The Penney Project is an ongoing Bursary Fund designed to assist parents in need with a percentage of the tuition costs to attend Vista Academy for behavioral intervention therapy. All bursary portions are donated and fundraised yearly to better support the child in need.

WHAT CAN THE BURSARY BE USED FOR?

The Penney Project bursary may be used toward 1:1 Behavioural Intervention and alternative homeschooling run through Vista Academy Kelowna.

BURSARY INTENT:

The Penney Project is intended for children with complex needs affected in 2 or more areas of daily-living skills such as eating, toileting, social skills, academic delays, regulation, communication, fine motor and more.
